Back to Screenshot Studio

Privacy and credits

First version. Updated October 14, 2026.

Your images stay on your device

Screenshot Studio processes imported screenshots, text and exported artwork in your browser. The application does not upload your images or projects to a server. There are no accounts, payment integrations, advertising scripts, third-party analytics or AI services in this version.

Local storage and project files

Your current workspace is saved in your browser's IndexedDB storage. Anyone who can use the same browser profile can open that workspace. It is not encrypted by the application. Private browsing, clearing site data, storage limits or switching devices can remove or separate your saved workspace.

Downloaded project files contain your screenshots and text. Keep these files private if your artwork is confidential. Each browser and site address has its own saved workspace; a localhost workspace does not automatically appear on the hosted site.

Brand kits are stored separately in the same browser's IndexedDB. Uploaded logos and headline fonts are processed locally and embedded in brand-kit backups. Applied logos and fonts also travel inside your project file, so it can reopen without the original brand library. No cloud synchronization is provided. Back up brand kits separately from projects before clearing site data.

Composition layers, including additional screenshots, character cutouts and logos, are also embedded in your project file and stored locally. Uploaded cutouts are not sent to a background-removal or AI service. Device frames are generic shapes rendered locally, not branded manufacturer assets. Only upload artwork you own or have permission to use.

Offline app and sharing

A service worker caches public editor files, fonts, icons and sample art on this device. After offline setup finishes, the editor can reopen without a connection. Your project stays in IndexedDB; it is not part of the public app cache and is not synced to a server. The installed app and your browser may have separate storage. Export a project file to move your work between them.

Clearing site data or storage eviction can remove both offline access and saved work. Autosave is not a backup. Keep downloaded project files somewhere safe.

Share file opens your device's share sheet only after you tap it. The file is passed to the destination you choose, which may upload it under that app's own privacy policy. Screenshot Studio itself does not upload it. File sharing and available destinations depend on your browser and device.

Hosting

The public site uses Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes ordinary connection information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, to serve and protect the website. No imported screenshots or project contents are included in those requests. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Artwork and fonts

The Design Packs page contains public collection previews and a free Pocket Circuit sample project. The proposed full pack is in development and is not for sale; there is no checkout, preorder, interest form or additional tracking. The page, previews, license and free sample may be cached for offline use. Opening the sample in the editor requires confirmation before replacing the current workspace and supports undo.

Pocket Circuit is original fictional puzzle-game demonstration artwork, generated locally for this project without Death Trip assets. The free sample has its own sample license. Its example game name is not a cleared commercial brand; use your own game assets and accurate claims when publishing.

The Island Hop sample images are fictional demonstration artwork drawn specifically for this project. They are not screenshots from Death Trip or a game offered for sale. No Death Trip code or assets are included.

DM Sans, Barlow Condensed, Nunito, Cinzel and Noto Sans Arabic are distributed under the SIL Open Font License. Fonts are bundled with the site, not requested from Google Fonts. Icons are from Lucide under the ISC license.

The genre template styles and example copy are original presets included free with the editor, including commercial use in your own store graphics. They do not include third-party game art. Your screenshots and text stay on your device when you preview or apply a template.

Only upload logos and fonts you have permission to use and embed in project or brand-kit files. Your uploaded assets remain yours; the licenses of the bundled fonts do not apply to your uploads.

Export responsibility

Use screenshots and artwork you own or have permission to use. Store-size presets and opaque RGB PNG output help with file preparation; they do not guarantee App Store or Google Play approval. Your images must accurately represent your game and satisfy the current store content requirements. No watermark is added by this tool.

Open-source components

This app uses React, Lucide, fast-png, fflate, idb-keyval, Zod, Fontsource and Workbox. Build and test tooling includes Vite, TypeScript, Vitest, Prettier, Playwright, Pillow and @napi-rs/canvas. License details are recorded with the project's source and dependency lockfile.
